Imperial Maple Cask

Barceló Imperial Maple Cask, part of the exceptional Rare Blends Collection of Barceló rums, is born from the nectar of the finest selection of Dominican sugar cane, grown in our own cane fields. The result of aging the reserves of our most precious rums in oak barrels with different degrees of toast, carefully selected by our expert master coopers. Once the blend is achieved, Maple Cask is left to rest in authentic maple wood to provide the complexity and unique flavor that distinguishes this fascinating spirit.

Notes on tasting

Dark amber-brown color with reddish tones. In the glass it exhibits an unctuous body with long, thick legs. Fruity and floral aromas on the nose, accompanied by pleasant notes of melted caramel, plums, vanilla and maple syrup. Initially sweet on the palate, then wood and dried fruit flavors emerge with a long but silky finish.

Ideal for

Perfect with fine cigars, aged cheeses, elegant desserts, dark chocolate, and select cuts of red meat.

Best enjoyed neat at room temperature or chilled in a short glass of rum.

Imperial Maple Temptation

Ingredients

2 oz. Barceló Imperial Maple Cask
1 oz. ginger syrup
2 oz. chinola juice
1 oz. soda
cucumber slice
Flamed cinnamon to decorate

Preparation

In a shaker, add the cucumber slice and mash with a mortar and pestle. Add the rum, syrup, juice and shake. Serve in a short glass and top it off with soda. Decorate with flamed cinnamon.
